Material Advice: 5 Steps to a 5 AP Computer Science Principles by Julie Schacht Sway
General Advice: It's crucial to pay attention in class and start learning from the beginning. The class may not have a lot of quizzes nor tests, so it's important to keep with the concepts you learn. Start looking into different resources to learn the concepts if little notes are provided in class, because the earlier you start learning the concepts, the better off you will be for the AP exam. If College Board provides lesson videos for the course in AP classroom, take a look at those. It can be helpful to take notes in order to remember the ideas well. The AP exam consists of two parts the Creative part and the exam. The Creative part involves a lot of work, so it is beneficial to choose a topic/platform you are interested in to do your work on. Also, this does make up a portion of your overall score for the AP exam, so it is important to try your absolute best in case you struggle with the exam. Nevertheless, try your best on both parts for a higher score. All in all, you should be fine as long as you can spend time to learn the concepts well.
