General Advice:
Since this class is the last year of French, it heavily relies on your ability to use your knowledge from the last three years and elevate it. You will be pushed to be more comfortable in your ability to comprehend French whether it is in reading or listening form and be able to write comprehensible pieces of writing within short periods of time. We get a lot of vocabulary and content summarization sheets in class, so I highly recommend that you keep a folder or binder of these sheets in class to study with later. You typically get a fair amount of class time to complete assignments, so definitely use that time to get done with as much work as you can, whether it's a worksheet or collaborating on a project. As the AP exam gets closer, you will start to have more speaking, writing, and listening exams, with the listening one typically being the most difficult. To improve your ability to comprehend French in a casual setting, I suggest seeking out French content. For me, I would watch movies I was familiar with in a French dub so I could practice my listening ability, and would reach short French children's books since they were easy to read and were written in a way where I could comprehend them. While it is hard to improve your fluency in a language, with enough practice and studying, you should at least become more comfortable. To study for the AP exam I recommend Barrons AP French Language and Culture Third Edition, it does a good job at being a supplement to the notes we've been given in class and has plenty of writing and reading practice to help you prep. Good luck!
