Material Advice: JSTOR, Google Scholar, SlidesCarnival
General Advice:
- Google Scholar and JSTOR will be your best friends, these will help you find reputable sources.
- Make friends in the class, this will be helpful when it comes to editing essays. The instructor can't provide direct comments on the official essay you turn in to CollegeBoard, but your peers can. If you make friends, you can help edit each other's papers.
- Use class time to do your work! It isn't hard to get off task, but this is not in your best interest! If you don't do your work in class you'll end up with hours of homework, instead of minimal homework.
- Practice the responses to the questions that will be asked at the end of the slideshow. Also, make sure that your presentation partners also practice, and go over your answers together.
- Choose a topic that you are actually interested in! If you aren't interested in your topic, you're going to have to spend countless hours researching a topic that you aren't interested in.
- Write multiple drafts of your essay! You want it to be as cohesive as possible.
- The class is so fun and interesting! Don't get too stressed out and try to learn as much as possible/
