General Advice:
One of the most important things I learned while taking WHAP was prioritizing my schedule. The course is very heavy on reading material so it's really important to stay on top of your work and finish assignments the day they're assigned. It's also crucial to develop good note-taking skills, as writing every single thing down is time-consuming and most of your notes will be filler info. Instead, try making headers based on subsections in the reading and jot down the main idea of each passage along with dates and figures and a small summary of their importance. There are a lot of extra-credit opportunities available offered both in the morning and afternoon, so definitely be sure to take advantage of those. There aren't many major projects, though you will be assigned minor projects every now and then. However, a major project is the timeline project and it accounts for a major portion of your grade. Rather than trying to finish it all in one night, it's best to start completing each date as you learn about in class since it takes hours to finish it all at once. Overall, the class really boils down to proper time-management, and once you get the hang of it, you'll be doing wonderfully in no time!
