Year Taken: 2018-2019
Material Advice:
-Not really materials you need to buy, but I would suggest that if you could, get the course materials(books or plays) and start reading them over the summer as prep
General Advice:
This class relies heavily on your ability to read and interpret the reading in a way where you can provide insightful analysis and be able to comprehend questions pertaining to the reading. This class can be a little difficult if you have a hard time reading a lot and keeping up with discussions surrounding finding themes, symbolism, etc, but there are plenty of ways to prepare, either through talking with others, doing some online research, or talking to the teacher. You will also be writing a lot of essays in this class, so I highly suggest you take all writing assignments seriously, and when you can to schedule meetings with the teacher to get a better insight on what you can improve. Overall, as long as you stay on top of your reading and always strive to improve your skills in writing and comprehension, you should be able to improve in your skills and hopefully do well in the class. Good Luck!
